ShoreTel recently announced their new hybrid solution “Connect”, which allows on-premise customers to obtain cloud applications on a “as-needed basis”. This gives ShoreTel customers the best of both on-site and cloud capabilities into one solution. Currently ShoreTel Connect enables two applications to be utilized, ShoreTel Sky Scribe and ShoreTel Sky Fax.
ShoreTel Sky Scribe
ShoreTel Sky Scribe allows for voicemails to be transcribed into text along with a WAV file, that will be sent to a desired email address. This enables customers to receive and read voice messages from any device, any time, from any place.
ShoreTel Sky Fax
ShoreTel Sky Fax is an improvement upon traditional faxing. Now customers can receive incoming faxes through their email inbox, and send faxes as email attachments. This new feature is the favorite of customers looking to eliminate paper usage and to have everything accessed through email.
