In honor of the NFL’s first week into the 2014 season, we thought we would talk a little bit about its official wi-fi provider, Extreme Networks.
Back in January 2014, Extreme Networks and the NFL announced its agreement for Extreme to be the official Wi-Fi Analytics Provider for both the league and Super Bowl XLVIII. Extreme being a leader in high performance network solutions, is commissioned in helping the NFL achieve its goal of enhancing in-stadium fan experience.
With the help of Extreme Networks, the NFL will be able to analyze and solve all connectivity issues within their stadiums. Being available to all teams, Extreme Networks will help manage and leverage big data to improve the fan in-stadium game day experience. This will further allow teams to offer fans new applications and services in the continuation of meeting their needs.
Currently Extreme Networks technology is provided in the following stadiums:
- Detroit Lions
- Tennessee Titans
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Philadelphia Eagles
- New England Patriots
- New York Giants
- New York Jets
