Looks like the NBA might be seeing a style upgrade very soon in regards to their venues. If you haven’t seen it yet, Nike and AKQA came together to develop the first LED basketball court called “House of Mamba”.
The House of Mamba is located in China and is part of the Nike RISE campaign. This campaign is to give aspiring basketball players in China the opportunity to train with Lebraon James and Kobe Bryant this summer. The LED floor is embedded with motion sensors and can track a players movements throughout the court. It can also lead a player through a training regiment and track their progress. Basically bringing a NBA basketball video game to life.
