Recently we talked about how the NFL just rolled out new policies that required NFL stadiums to outfit their stadiums with Wi-Fi by the end of the 2014 season. Well, teams are starting to roll out their wireless projects and the Tennessee Titans have teamed up with Extreme Networks.
The Titans just agreed to outfit its stadium with Extreme Networks IdentiFi performance Wi-Fi technology. This technology should drastically enhance the game-day experience for spectators in the stadium. The IdentiFi wireless solution will provide Wi-Fi access to all fans free throughout the entire stadium. This will offer spectators high-speed connections to stream content, upload photos, use social media, and use in-venue mobile applications.
“Today’s sports fan wants to share their experiences at games in real-time and they expect a high level of connectivity that provides them the comfort and convenience to do so,” said Norman Rice, senior vice president of corporate development for Extreme Networks.
The Extreme Networks IdentiFi has proven to be one of the most scalable wireless solutions on the market. The solution is currently being used in both the Gillette Stadium (New England Patriots) and the Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Eagles).
